A HIGH-SPEC HOSPITALITY BUILD, DELIVERED ON TIME

The ELG Applecross Entertainment Precinct stands as one of Perth’s most anticipated riverside dining destinations, delivering two premium venues beneath the Riviere Residences on Canning Beach Road, Applecross. Hickey Constructions completed the fit-out of Bar Olé and The Heart to an exceptionally high specification, on a timeframe that demanded precise scheduling and zero compromise on quality.

Working alongside the Esqulant Leisure Group team, Hickey Constructions delivered a precinct designed to impress from the moment guests arrive. Bar Olé’s interior centres on a striking seven-metre bar topped with locally sourced Marri timber, set against Spanish-inspired finishes and an open kitchen that puts the chefs on show. The expansive alfresco area opens to uninterrupted views across the Swan River and Perth city skyline, purpose-built for the high volumes the venue attracts.

PRECISION DELIVERY FOR A HIGH-PROFILE CLIENT

With ELG Australia’s reputation and a fixed opening date on the line, the project called for disciplined programme management and a team that could meet a tight deadline without cutting corners. Hickey Constructions coordinated trades across both venues simultaneously, maintaining finish quality throughout while keeping the build on schedule.

Bar Olé opened to the public in March 2026, with its 240-person capacity filled from day one. The Heart, the precinct’s second venue, followed in May 2026 as planned. The result is a flagship entertainment destination south of the river that reflects the standard ELG Australia is known for and the standard Hickey Constructions delivers.
